If you only have the problem with black you should still double check both the drum assembly, charge roller, wax bar. How many copies does the fuser have?
is the firmware updated?

I had the exact same problem on the mpc2051, among other things the one we use here in our office, I remember that I had changed everything, pcdu, laser, transfer unit, etc ... you have to change the PTR roller, or in any case also check that the pressure mechanism between ITB belt and PTR roller is correct, i have solved it only with the PTR roller.
