Does the tray lift up? If no, check the motor and stuff that lift it up.
If the tray rise, need to check the sensor

My bad. This one doesn't use motor to lift the tray. Then, you need to the sensor above the paper

It does not detect any one of the two trays, both sensors can not go bad. I must be a common problem to both trays.

Check SP 5803-52 Tray 1 and SP 5803-53 Tray 2. They should be 0 when the tray in closed. If I remember correctly, the tray set switch is part of the paper size switch for each tray. Also Ricoh had a problem with tray latch mechanism causing the trays to not be held closed properly resulting in the tray not being detected as set.

Thanks, I will check and get back to you,
I had the problem of not latching the tray and getting this error, where is the tray latch sensor please?

It is not a sensor. It is a plastic part of the tray that breaks off. You either have to replace the tray or see if the repair kit is still available. There was a bulletin on the repair kit.

in that model the drawer lock systematically breaks, try pushing the drawer in with your knee, and see if the icon with the paper appear

tear down both rear switch's, and check operation by multimeter, but two tray dont work...never happen to me, could be the IOB.

If i put top tray to the button, it works, but it does not work when i move back it to the top.

Pull out the trays and make sure there's no wadded paper or other obstructions againt the machine frame.

All is clear around the top tray,
Do you know where is the switch to detect the presence of the top tray?
