SC899 and SC990 in IM C2000 whithout lan connected

    Hello,

I'ts the first time I have this problem,
    SC899 and SC990
    Ethernet is not connected !!!
the machine is ready, when I want make a copy or print counter, the machine don't start after few minutes I have this message.
    I can scan it's ok

    ✅ I format hard drive
    ✅ I change hard drive
    ✅ I update firmwares
    ✅ I disconnect and reconnect memory (2 Go DDR3)

    I don't know the issue
When I power on the machine I don't hear any motor, I don't have time to test yesterday, maybe problem with polygonal motor/laser unit ?
I don't know if the controler board have problem
If someone have an idea ....

    Great regards

SC899 could be corrupted firmware or defective RAM.
SC990 might be a performance error.

Firmware update won't replace corrupted firmware if it is at the current version. You have to use individual modules and overwrite the existing firmware.

Reseating memory DIMM will not repair bad memory. It needs to be replaced with NEW.

try check nvram. make sure all leg insert correctly. if all good, most probably firmware.
also check drum, where it got torn apart or not.

try to save smc information by sp824-upload sd card, perform engine reset sp801-engine, and the others, reboot the machine, run sp824-download sd card

p.s. try also if the hdd harness its upgraded, must be present a stamp in one of two side of connector, its good idea replace it

This error might be a firmware issue, they mentioned this on a support group meeting today and the solution is to downgrade the firmware, although they mentioned that it should only affect IM C4500 and aboce but lower models could be affected if they're upgraded through ARMS.

Which FW version did you upgrade to?

Sounds like a CTRL board has failed.

Turn off auto reboot sc 5875-001

under 5801 reset all the applications. Do not touch engine clear.
Printer application, copier application, NCS etc.

Turn off machine. Unplug machine from power cord, press power button to discharge machine and then plug cable and turn machine on after 5 mins.

If it works, don't touch it.

After clearing NCS, you will have to reenter all network settings.

Sometimes a necessary evil. In Multi user environment, I have changed IP address because there are so many users, especially mobile users. I also disable airprint and let customer know to use at your own risk. 20-50+ User environment people don't need airprint. Especially when guests connect to their network too and print random stuff ( not to mention security agents, cleaners etc).

Also have people with WSD drivers with print jobs in their que who come back to office after a few days and as soon as they connect to the network, computer tries to resend the job.
If it works, don't touch it.
