MPC4503 shows “Functional Problems Detected” – Could be unstable power?

Hello,

My Ricoh MPC4503 shows the following message:

Functional problems detected.
Press restart after the current process.
Repeat settings after machine has restarted.

I saw there's already a topic related to this issue:

My question is whether this error could be caused by unstable or low voltage in the power supply.

The machine is located in an area where voltage sometimes drops below normal. I don’t have a way to fix the electricity problem at the moment, so I would like to know if this error could be related to that, or if it's likely caused by something else.

If it's power-related, then I’ll stop looking for other solutions for now. But if not, I’ll keep troubleshooting.

No, these are two different problems.
This issue is with a different finisher, not related to the shift motor error.
They told me it has happened on two different copiers.

no, I don't think so, try to do some tests with the hdd disconnected, and check that the ITB and the pcdu are not hard to spin
check in the smc if any particular sc is stored
anyway, if can help you, its possible show the power voltage on display by sp

Ok, as soon as I’m able to work on it again, I’ll check your suggestions. For now, I’m just gathering all the information I can.

got same issue with 6004 where it shows functional error but didnt pop SC code
try to check the latest sc history on SP and found out some related with HDD(maybe yours different SC).
format HDD with PC and machine working fine

I will give it a try with a new ITB. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see what happens, since it doesn't fail all the time.

After replacing the ITB, the machine has been working fine so far.
So it seems that the ITB could have been the source of the problem.

First enter service mode & see what errors codes are being logged ?

It usually does this when it's hard to turn, it happened to me a few times that, once cleaned, I forgot to slightly dirty the blade with toner.
