    ricoh mp402 , error 992-00

    hi, i have a ricoh mp402 problem, sc992-00 error. i have done all the updates but i have the same problem. Has anyone had a problem like this? thank you very much. sorry for not perfect english.

      Usefully enough SC992 is an "Undefined" SC code. It could be anything. Was anything done to the machine before it threw this code?
      It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

              Does the error occur with the LAN cable unplugged?

              Did you update ALL the firmware files? There's a bulletin regarding this make sure the power saving firmware is Ver.F.L3.06.2

                      "software error - undefinite error"
                      backup address book via wim, export mc data on sd card, and try a well sp801 (full) and restart, if you dont notice of strange effect, leave it like this, the import of sd data could maybe transport again the software bug error(?)

                          Well then disconnect it and restart the MFP - can't really recall any SC992 in combination with a bad job but you should check it.

                                  When you updated firmware did you use package firmware? In the past, package only replaced modules that were not current version. It did not replace corrupted modules because it had no way of know the module was corrupted.

                                      Yes they need to use the SD card method and OVERWRITE all firmware files. Next I'd reseat the ram dimms. Turn off java SP5730 to 0. Last, if you have the birth certificate, you could clear nvram and reinput the settings manually.

                                      If all that does not help, you may be looking at replacing the controller pcb.
