    SC-672-11 mpc 2003

I have a problem with this model of machines that I put a new nvram in and suddenly the sc 672-11 jumps out. I have changed all the ipu, bcu, ctl, cables, screen. Main ctl led 1 is constantly on. Everything indicates that the data in the flash memory is corrupted. It cannot be updated since it only shows the error and does not let you do anything else. I know there is a way to add boot start or some kind of forced update when the machine won't let you do anything. If experienced technicians would know of a way to restore his memory and get him running I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you

if 672 start after replaced nvram, can be a defective/bad writed new nvram?....do you have another?...i dont rember well, but if the deep-switch are present on your controller version, try to c-mos clear action, turn off the machine, put deep-switch 1 and 3 on, for 10 second, next, turn deep-switch 1-3 off, and turn machine power on...but, i cant garanting nothing.

Check that there is not a bent pin on the NVRam and that it is not turned the wrong way. Also check that the USB cable from the controller to the control panel in not loose.

Why did you replace the nvram in the first place? What happens when you put the old nvram back into the machine?

[QUOTE=joserf;2201655]So did you reconnect both ends of the USB cable between the controller and the control panel. SC672-011 at power up is a communication error between the controller and the option panel. 99.99% of the time it is the USB cable. I personally have never had it be anything else.

maybe, it was there that it was about to break down, and it was enough to handle it, if can help you... once always with 672, on a mp4054, I cleaned the controller with alcohol and brush, and then blown it with air, and it started working again , now he has been with the client for months.

Do not make things worse, it was to be removed and not to add one. Try as suggested by Anothertech, in case format the hd and reload the fw, let us know

Yes the hard drive and fax board are always the first things to disconnect when the dreaded sc672 comes up.
