Clear Transfer belt replacement message MP C4503

I need to clear the 'Transfer Belt Replacement' message on a MP C4503.

    How is that done?

Thanks in advance for the information.

Follow the replacement procedures in the service manual.

      Thank you slimsbob.

If I had a service manual, I certainty could do so.

However, I do not wish to replace the transfer belt, I just wish to turn off the message.

SP mode. If there is a tab that says PM counter/New unit set, do it in there. If not, go to system>data log>pm counter reset.

Funny, I don't recall ever seeing that message on one of those machines.

There is a SP setting that can be used to Enable or Disable PM due messages. We usually disabled it and just depended on monthly meter readings to determine when a PM was due.

If my memory serves me correctly, I think that in those models it is deactivated from factory.

Yes this is off by default.

Enter SE mode on the first screen choose PM counter you can disable the message here.

If you don't see this option you can update the firmware to show the PM counter page.

It has been over 6 years since that model was discontinued. That's ample time for some idiot to activate it.

I'm not going to lie to you, in my company, we activate some PM in clients who are not Maintenance, but who have a clear view that they have to prepare the money for the repair and don't wait for it to break xD hahaha.
