    IM C4510 ITB Unit

    Hi All,

I have been asked to replace an ITB unit in a IM C4510. I no longer have access to Ricoh Technical. All I would need to know is if there is a difference in procedure and reset (SP3-701-93) than an IM C4500?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Looking at the manual the process looks pretty much identical to the IM C4500. I haven't had to replace one in the field yet but have replaced plenty of belts on the XX04 series which I believe is very similar to the IMC.
If you are tasked with replacing a whole unit then it is even easier since the SP mode you brought up is the same as on the IMC.

Thank you RicohBoomer. I appreciate the information. Yes complete ITB unit. Is the ITB Cleaner similar?

it's the same thing, don't worry, the only thing to know, is that if you change the complete new itb unit, the cleaning unit is not provided, you have to dismantle it from the old one or replace it with a new one

What happened to the original ITB unit? Failed early?

It had 345K pages on the clock, combined K and CMY. Another tech had diagnosed it with a defect. When I pulled the old one there was a dimple on the belt which would give a mark on the print . How that happened I could not tell you.

Yes the same or from the first service mode page you have a PM counter option, you can choose manual new unit set for the transfer unit. (no need to remember as many SP modes)
