Is the paper fed LEF or SEF.

If LEF you may have a problem with the registration roller/clutch
If SEF check the side rails in the paper tray.

It's a small straightforward A4 black and white machine. Most likely culprit is , drum unit, Dev unit, LED array / laser unit.

Drum unit and Dev unit is very easy to check. Just open the front door and slide out. While you doing that just check for a build up dirt and toner inside the machine and clean it out.


It's a decent machine and works fairly well

Yep, dirty LED array. Ricoh put a nice cleaning brush on the IM350 model just for this problem.

It's the Simplest thing imaginable and you haven't even done it.

This job is so simple I made a HOW TO guide for customers to carefully clean it. Saved me many call outs, until the PCDU starts causing lines etc then obviously I have to go out replace, update firmware and clean LED flip down section.
Would only recommend if you trust the customer enough though, there are some I can't trust to even change a toner on this model

I would also have bet me too on the registration clutch!...they are undersized, and I changed one recently on that model
