[CQ] Prints from computer are washed in black.

Hello again,

It seems whenever something is printed from a direct USB computer, they are washed in black. This includes different file types (PDF, image files, vector, etc).

However when printing a quality page internally it comes out looking clean. Any ideas what setting is causing this?

I forgot to include the model- MP C3002.

printer driver? new usb cable? different port on the PC? that's where i would start. rule out the simple things.

Tried multiple USB Cables- no change. They're using the correct Ricoh drivers.

Also forgot to mention- its the same result if printing off of a thumb drive directly plugged into the machine.

The machine recently had all it's SP settings cleared. After all the door settings were put back in it seems the test prints are back to normal. Just anything other than the test print page seems to be washed out in black.

Check to see if Toner Save is enabled. Can't remember if it is in User Tools - Printer Features or a driver setting.

Did it happens when printing in black and white ? Try replacing the black PCDU if only happen only in color and not mono copy.

try to disable and enable the usb port by SP, and upgrade the firmware

I am able to get it to run Clayton color calibration only on 1200x1200 dpi. It fails at all other resolutions.

Yes of course. That was one of the first things we tried.
