It's probably advancing if it wasn't it would get sucked into the fuser it's probably really dirty because the hot roller is bad. The one I have seen break is a small white one near the brake pad.

It's not a hard fuser to rebuild can't think of any tips.

On the web unit, teeth can break off of the white gears so have a good look. The only other thing that happens is the metal ratchet (B1404209) on the brown gear on the orange sponge pressure roller breaks. That normally makes the web spool off though.

I had to replace a complete web unit and BICU board a couple of weeks ago for the web not advancing.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

        Hit it.

No, it can die and not show a code. The only way you know is the web's shredded and the hot roller's goosed.

I have a motor blow. This took out the supply PCB (BICU / IOB... Cant remember!) can be tested in output mode SP5804. I think you need to cheat both door switches.

As said elsewhere, alaways change the brown ratchet gear an bracket if worn.

Not hard to change if you follow the manual.

Funny this should come up now. I had 2 bad motors recently, one of them ran until the web got dirty enough to stick to the roller, but the other generated an SC550 like if the web was out.

I think if the motor is completely open or disconnected the machine will detect it, but if it gets stuck there's nothing it can do to detect it.
