    [CQ] MP2510

    Hi all,hope you can help.
My 2510 has a dark shading on one trailing edge corner of A3 & A4 reduction, only when using platen glass not adf,the shading starts approx 4
inches from trail edge and gradually gets darker until it is like two bands 1 inch wide.
    thanks in advance

Sounds like one of the carriages is not aligned. You woulndt see that in ADF mode. I would start by jigging the 1 and 2 carriages. Also make sure the mirrors are secure and not moving.

You can, but it will just blur the image.

Maybe your Scanner Housing is bent. Grap the Housing at the front left corner, and give some moderate pressure from below, then make a Copy again. does something change?

If fault is scanner/mirror alignment would there be two distinct bands, also image is visible below shading until it becomes too dark
