    Open heat cycle error SCX-6322

We replaced the fuser unit and it will only works for 2-4 days. After that the open heat cycle error appears again. We've replaced the fuser unit 4 times.

Is there anybody who encountered this problem?

Do you think there is a problem on the SMPS or It needs to upgrade the firmware?

    Help.... Thanks.

Update the firmware. It's "supposed" to fix this issue! (not my fav machine!).. Then replace the fuser/thermal fuse.
    Regards!

Actually my choice was the SMPS. That has fixed that issue on many of the tabletop Samsungs. Is it just a blown thermostat or a genuine meltdown with the rollers inseparably welded together? I've seen both. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Yeah both, blown thermostat and meltdown rollers. Is there a new part of SMPS release by Samsung? Thanks to all.

The parts book is a little confusing on this. For 110vac machines there are two different part #s listed (JC44-00091A & JC44-00126A). When you search the two numbers the first is a SMPS for a CLP-610. The latter number is the correct number (JC44-00126A), and no updates. =^..^=

Yup its a quality box, they came out with firmware and a newer style complete fuser unit (with a "better" exit sensor actuator). Not seen a power supply issue with these yet tho but I (thankfully) only have about a handful in the field!

            regards!

They found a problem with the fuser control circuit on the Main PWB. The only machines supposed affected were ones manufactured from march 2008 till december 2008. if your machine was manufactured during that time, you should replace the Fuser Unit & the Main PWB at the same time. They have supposedly modified all of their boards in stock so any main from samsung should be good now. Hope this helps.. Good luck
