    samsung scx 6555n fuser motor locks up

    installed new fuser motor, replaced reg and exit sensors, updated firmware, all with no success. has anybody seen this? I also have a main board on order.

    This might sound silly, but can you turn the fuser manually? Samsungs are well known for melting down fusers. =^..^=
    If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      We have had multiple problems with bearings on these fusers. I think more machines have had fusers replaced prematurely than not.

        I have also swapped fusers and installed a new fuser unit.

          Are you sure that it is the fuser locking up and not something else? Does it make a noise or give any error codes? Can you give more information about the problem?
