The only thing I ever used the secret sims for were to correct meters that techs accidentally zeroed out on the Cougar series. First you had to find the sim and then convert hex to dec or the other way around. If you never had to do it then you have 6 extra months you will live.

ali may have cleared something that has caused this issue. Process Control, toner level, toner counter... IF he could get a 22-6 he may find zeros where there should never be zeroes.

The hardware of this device is healthy.
The code (88-01) changed all device settings to zero.
Now I do not know which zero should change.
Which code should I change to identify the cartridge?

That's SIM 55, soft switches. Those are not counters. Whatever switches and bits you changed needs to be changed back. These are not listed in any manual.

But I'm not sure if the cartridge and chip are OEM Sharp!

You may have made the machine inoperable for good.

I printed out a 22-6 from a MX-M453N and these are the only soft switches that are not at all zeroes, Engine & MFP. Setting your machine to match may do nothing to restore it as it is in a different region and soft switches may not match.

It also may be as simple as installing a new toner OEM toner as (I think) you just replaced the crum chip.

This is interesting. There's either a soft switch for "allow generic toners" or maybe the machines "country code" But I don't know either of those things, especially on an older machine like that. I'd see if an OEM toner works

So the sticker on his toner is a MX-500GT, Europe/Australia/New Zealand and he never did answer my question of if he was in Iran. Who knows which crum chip he is using.

My next questions to you ali are. Have you ever used this 88-01 before? I'm confused because you said it was working fine.

Did you think the 88-01 would just reset the machine back to its "out of the box' condition? If you have cleared everything as romang states then your problems are going to be far greater then getting a toner to work.
