sharp arm 256 copies enlarged by 2mm

i have a customer who copies alot of scaled diagrams. these scaled diagram cannot be out by 1mm or 2 after copied. so the copy has to be exactly the same as the original. customer is placing the originals on the glass and on the document feeder with the same result.

i mainly work on ricoh so i do not know much about sharp however i have access to the service manuals and parts catalogue. is there a setting in the memory that needs to be adjusted?

customer had a previous sharp machine that never gave this problem.

48-1 & 48-2 are the magnification ratios for main & sub scanning directions.
    Hope that helps !

Did the customer have an analog machine before? We have a client that will not upgrade to digital as he wants a true 1 to 1 ratio on his image and thinks he can not get it with the new machines? Just wondering for information purposes?

The digital machines that I am familiar with can be much more easily adjusted to a true 1 to 1, 100% magnification. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I quite agree but getting the client to agree is something else! LOL
