Sharp FO-4470 Fuser warm up error

Anyone have any experience with this. My first route would be to replace the fuser but at 250.00 and I don't have another to swap with kind of costly for a test.

Looking for other suggestions or causes for this error. I have got to the fuser and physically it looks ok. Thanks in advance.

Does the fuser even begin to warmup before the error? If its still cold, then most likely has a blown heat lamp. If it does get warm or hot, then the error appears, could be a faulty thermistat.
Check continuity of the lamp & harness and check the thermistats.

I have attempted to rebuild these fusers, and it's a disappointing proposition. The plastic fuser frames snap together. It will be badly warped after several years of use, and the plastic becomes very brittle. You can buy individual parts, but plastic things will break off faster than you can replace them.

If you're anything like me you'll have to try it for yourself, but remember I told you so. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
