    [CQ] ARM207 Odd Line

I've got one here that I hope someone can help me with...
I attached photos so you can see the issue. This is an ARM207, probably 4-5 years old. It is leaving a line from front frame to rear frame on the lead edge that is about 1" to 1.5" from the lead edge. This customer runs over 100 checks through tray 1 twice a week. They have done this since they bought the machine. They print them from the computer. On their checks the line is usually pretty fiant but it will typically run across the entire page from front to rear. In the attached copies the only spot that you see the line is in the printed areas. It usually doesnt happen on the first page out, but you notice it get worse and worse each page after that. I uploaded a 10 page copy job of the same original so you can see. I have replaced: Fuser, Drum, Process Unit, Cleaning Blade, DV box, DV. I have also tried to run the copies out of the bypass tray with the same problem. I got a call yesterday from the customer saying that the machine is now making a faint noise as the copy is coming out to the exit tray. She said it sounds like something is running. Im wondering if the cleaning blade needs some powder on it but dont know if that would correct the line. Any input is appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi
on the copier there is a mylar next to the drum,
remove the drum unit and check on the copier for kinks on the mylar coresponding to the line on your copies
    good luck

Is this line only at the lead edge or does it repeat down the page? Can't really tell from the samples. If the line is repeating i would check your drum pin and make sure it's clean and then reapply a small amount of conductive grease.

        I see it.
Read the following record out of the database. I think you're on the right track.

Smudges along the leading edge of all copies 35mm wide, 56mm from the outer edges, on AR-160. The drum blade has flipped within a few hundred copies of replacement. Replace the drum blade & re-prime. If re-occurring, taper the outer edge of the new drum blade by ~1.5mm.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I went to see this machine yesterday. I added a new cleaning blade again and some Kynar powder as well. It seemed to help for the time being. We will see what happens.
          Thanks.

I found that no matter how carefully you prime those blades a percentage of them will still flip, usually within the first 1000 prints of drum replacement. If you get past that first 1000, it will probably yield the usual 30K. =^..^=
