Jams frpm tray 1 when running more than 1 copy. first copy does not exit fuser and 2nd copy has no image just a line across page. have tried cleaning feed clutch with no results. We are new to these boxes and have access to service manual. But, can't find anything to help there. Anyone out there can possibly give a direction to look, I would greatly appreciate it. rb

Re: AR-205
This sounds really familiar, but I can't quite put my finger on it.
Check that the paper size programmed for the tray matches the actual paper size. If it doesn't match you'll get jamming just like this. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: AR-205
Could be tray setting, also check the fuser gear on the fuser roller, that tab has a bad habbit of shearing off sometimes and will give a jam that stops right at the nip of the rollers, may even pas one sheet.
After a while it will jam all the time right there.Comment

Re: AR-205
Replace the sensor under the resist roller. You have to flip the machine over & take the cassette out to get to it. Kind of a pain because you also have to pull the back off to plug the sensor in.Comment

Re: AR-205
Check the fuser drive gear 45T. There is a retrofitted gear for this. The second page with the line is most likely from the drum when the systems stop suddenly because the first page didn't exit the fuser.
Does it feed from other trays or the bypass? If so, then the fuser isn't the problem.
Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!Comment

Re: AR-205
I'll go for the fuser DMC actuator and the return spring since you mention the 1st copy didn't finish exiting.

Re: AR-205
You Can test the sensors with TC 30-1. I have had this issue with the exit sensor . I believe the jam indicator will light if exit sensor switchedComment
