Toshiba 1057 ADF jam (Sharp MXM)

Customer called with a doc feed jam. Of course when I get there the key op is no where to be found.
It's in a steel plant, so the first thing after not finding anything was to blow out the dirt/dust on all of
the sensors. Still wasn't getting anywhere and someone said you find it? I said I can't find anything
yet. Then he said it was a plastic bag with a tiny piece of paper that got in there, we think it was stuck
here (pointing at the pickup rollers).
I popped the top cover off, pulled the metal plate to remove the pickup/feed roller and this is what was
jammed inside. Funny, I don't remember seeing this on the list of approved materials for the ADF. LOL

Funny! It probably dropped on a stack of originals, fed in ... but not out. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Having removed lettuce from an ADF once, nothing surprises me when hunting through a document feeder.

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

I think my favorite was a 3" x 5" recipe card in a DF. When I suggested that the problem might be a recipe card, the enduser stated unequivocally that she has NEVER fed a recipe card through the DF. Then I showed her the recipe card.

Funniest/weirdest one I had once once I was working on a E-352 in a hospital, the BLOOD LAB (that part is important).
I was just finishing it up, cleaning and what not...found a FRENCH FRIE in the ADF!
Boy! I could just see something like this. Mr. Smith, we got your blood work back from the lab, your cholesterol level is
          603. We are puzzled how you are still alive.
FOOD allowed in a BLOOD LAB??
