    HP Designjet T1600 85D0-3192-0000 error code

    Morning all! We have an HP T1600 plotter thats throwing a 85D0-9138-0000 error code when receiving print jobs from adobe reader running Win 10 64bit using the HPGL2 driver. The system prints using the PCL,PS,PDF drivers without a problem. Only issue with using these drivers is that they dont have some functionality which may be related to user rights, Colate, first page on top, are not executed when selected. These options worked before using the HPGL2 driver, but cannot currently be used as it is making the plotter code out. I have updated the plotter to the latest firmware version available (CYCLOPSNEPTUNE_07_21_20.1.fmw) and have removed and reinstalled the HPGL2 driver to no change. Any direction or insight on this problem would be greatly appreciated.

      Try checking the "Print As Image" under the Advanced settings on the Print page?

          Correct me if I'm wrong: You will find Print As Image only in a PostScript driver, never a HPGL2 driver ... ?
          If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

              It's an Adobe option. Not driver specific.

                  Confirming we did select the "print as image" option in adobe reader with the same results. Ill be back on site tomorrow morning, and try some different options and more importantly print from my own computer to see if i get the same error results using the HPGL2 driver. If I am correct the HPGL2 driver send native code for rendering cad associated files which provides faster print processing and printing. The other drivers PS/PCL/PDF encaupsulate the data with its own control commands and result in longer processing or "Single" page processing. As I mentioned before I have a strong feeling that the machine not interpreting/recognizing options selected such as collate using the PS/PCL/PDF drivers is a user permissions issue. Will advise and update tomorrow

                      I know this isn't a real solution but in my experience, Adobe Reader/Acrobat does not get along with HP Designjet printers. Try using Foxit Reader just as a test. It's free and for me has always worked far better with the Designjets than Adobe's programs.

                      Also, why aren't you using the HP Smart App to install the printer instead of using the HPGL drivers? I'm just curious.

                          Thank you for the recommendation. Confirming the error code also occured printing from my laptop from adobe using the HPGL2 drivers. I switched over to Foxit reader, and had no issues printing and having it execute the selected options, colate, first page last, etc. Thank you for your insight!
