    Bizhub c450i / c550i Toner Hopper Guide

We have had a few of these hoppers fail with various issues. Had some time this week to throw this together and I hope it can help someone in the future. Enjoy

Not allowing a 2.5 MB upload, tried from 3 browsers, I will check in later

How about waiting a bit before making snarky comments?

The main problem with these hopper/toner supply units are the photo sensors underneath where spilled toner WILL fall into! sort of causes a chain reaction of starved developer because sub hopper never askes for toner.

Make it PDF or zip that way it should work.

Thanks mate I tried to upload pdf and zip from device and web both won't work as advertised.
I'm going to try to contact Aneurysm about that.

1 MB is the limit on our attachments to threads. We're also limited by file type. It appears that you found a workaround.

                1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

The interesting part was the springs were put on backwards from the factory. Of the 4 springs, 2 were backwards.

Interesting. At the bottom of the attachment windows, it shows this max file size chart based on file type:
                      max size.JPG

Curious what this list is referring to then.

LOL! I never noticed that. The largest file I've ever successfully attached is 1.18M. =^..^=

When I click on the attach paper clip there is a ? in a blue circle near the top right. Clicking on it I get a similar list except it has 2 additional columns, max width and max height.

I took a cropped screenshot, I see those columns as well slim.
