    Full Story
President Donald Trump’s namesake charitable foundation agreed to cease operations in late 2018 as part of an agreement with New York’s attorney general, who alleged that the nonprofit organization was improperly leveraged to further Trump’s business and political interests. A November court order resolved the lawsuit, and Trump ultimately paid a total of $2 million in damages to eight charities, which also received equal portions of the foundation’s remaining $1.8 million.

But it is not the case, as viral social media posts claim, that the Trump family was “disallowed from operating ANY charity” in New York “because they stole from a kids cancer charity.” That distorts the facts on a number of fronts, including by conflating two separate matters.

First of all, it’s wrong to say the family was “disallowed” from operating a charity in the state. There was no such stipulation in the settlement with the attorney general.

While the attorney general’s lawsuit initially asked the court to bar Trump and his grown children who sat on the foundation’s board from serving as any charity’s “officer, director, trustee or equivalent position” for a period of time, the settlement reached did not do that.

Instead, the agreement imposes a number of requirements that the president must meet if he “decides to serve as an officer or director of a pre-existing charitable organization” — or “form a new charitable organization and serve as an officer or director thereof” — in New York. For example, if Trump were to start a new organization, he would need to “provide Annual Reports to the Attorney General for 5 years.”

It also required Trump’s children — Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump — to participate in “mandatory training” relating to charitable organizations, which the three have already undergone.

There also was no part of the state’s lawsuit that dealt with allegations that the Trump Foundation “stole from a kids cancer charity,” as the posts claim.

That detail appears to stem from a 2017 Forbes story that alleged Eric Trump’s separate nonprofit organization, the Eric Trump Foundation, engaged in self-dealing and misled donors.

The magazine wrote that the foundation publicly proclaimed that all proceeds from its annual golf tournament at a Trump golf club would go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. However, while the foundation did donate millions to that organization, it also made large payments to the Trump Organization to host the event and some funds were directed to different charities, Forbes found.

While the New York attorney general’s office said it was “looking into” the findings of the Forbes report back in 2017, those allegations were not part of the lawsuit involving the Donald J. Trump Foundation.

Eric Trump has since resigned from his foundation, which has rebranded as Curetivity.

Joe Rogan Befuddled After Trump-Hating ‘The MeidasTouch’ Surpasses His Podcast: ‘Who?’

      https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/...errer=aHR0cHM6 Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAB8v 6ZKmwKsQ5qXIXBaOtkyVQDLqGBHv6LpacHfEOkQCwtt4uuDjV0 H8qI3pc1hNGMRndSzKZaxhP97FsmYzYjCuxuQwbhsmg2IE7qBX J4qQy70qBqzOfMNhJ0Xt97OUFMbZwqVhF7fBNp5WGhMNEM120I W4phlk9YdQIqrf8dUZ

It turns out, there is still a big audience for the resistance to President Trump. That is clearly the case with “The MeidasTouch,” a podcast that is highly critical of the president, now topping “The Joe Rogan Experience” to become the most-listened to podcast in the last month.

That’s according to metrics from Podscribe, which shows “The MeidasTouch” — which is hosted by brothers Jordan, Ben and Brett Meiselas — had been listened to or downloaded 57.9 million times in the past month as of Thursday morning. That represents a 121% increase month-over-month, and suggests new listeners are flocking to the anti-Trump podcast just as the president is getting settled back into the Oval Office for his second term.

Rogan then reacted to the news on X, simply responding, “Who?”

“The MeidasTouch” pushed ahead of “JRE,” which dropped to third place in Podscribe’s rankings with 47.8 million listens and downloads in the past month; political commentator Candace Owens — who has made a number of bizarre remarks about Jews in the last year — was ranked second on the company’s chart, with 49.5 million downloads and listens in the same time period.

It is worth noting Podscribe’s metric includes podcast listens and downloads plus views on YouTube. Also, according to Podscribe, Rogan pulled in 2.9 million downloads and listens per episode in the last month, compared to an average of 657,000 for “The MeidasTouch” and 2.1 million for Owens.

... the Medias Touch also passed Fox News on YouTube as the most watched channel two weeks ago.

I figured you would be more upset about prices not going down like trumpy promised. You and your crew seemed quite sure it was going to happen. I guess now you understand trumpy was lying to y'all.

Liberal media biggest source of disinformation:

NBCUniversal Settles $30M Defamation Lawsuit From ICE Detention Facility Gynecologist Dubbed ‘Uterus Collector’

                  image.png

NBCUniversal is settling a $30 million defamation lawsuit brought by an ICE detention facility gynecologist who was falsely branded a “uterus collector” and accused of performing unnecessary and botched hysterectomies on migrants.

Dr. Mahendra Amin, a gynecologist who treated patients at a Georgia ICE facility, was identified by MSNBC in September 2020 as the subject of a nurse’s shocking whistleblower complaint entitled “Lack of Medical Care, Unsafe Work Practices, and Absence of Adequate Protection Against COVID-19 for Detained Immigrants and Employees Alike at the Irwin County Detention Center.”

The nurse, identified as Dawn Wooten, accused a gynecologist at the facility of conducting numerous unneeded procedures, sometimes with disastrous results. According to the complaint, which never identified Amin by name, one woman even had the wrong ovary removed.

What followed were several MSNBC on-air reports on Deadline: White House with Nicolle Wallace, All In With Chris Hayes, and The Rachel Maddow Show that identified Amin as the gynecologist in question, despite initial hesitation from their Standards department over Wooten’s unverified claims.

Amin contended in a $30 million lawsuit against NBCUniversal that he performed just two hysterectomies at the facility, had ICE’s approval for both, and was not a “uterus collector.”

CNN’s primetime ratings on Wednesday dipped below 500,000 viewers, with less than 100,000 of those coming from the 25-54-year-old demographic.CNN’s ratings dipped below 500,000 after 9 p.m. ET on Wednesday evening during “The Source with Kaitlan Collins,” according to AdWeek. Collins pulled 464,000 total viewers while “NewsNight with Abby Phillip” in the 10 p.m. hour followed with 459,000. “Laura Coates Live” finished off primetime’s 11 p.m. hour for CNN with 269,000.“Anderson Cooper 360” was the only primetime CNN performance with over half-a-million viewers, pulling in 535,000.All the network’s primetime shows failed to break 100,000 viewers for the coveted 25-54 demographic. Cooper had the best showing with 93,000, then Phillip with 90,000, then Collins with 76,000, and Coates ended the night with just 46,000 viewers in the age group. The new numbers are a troubling sign for the network.“CNN’s full-scale collapse continues rapidly. It reaches a remarkable new low led by @kaitlancollins and @abbydphillip: fewer than 500,000 viewers total in prime-time! That’s almost impossible to do even if you wanted it,” independent journalist Glenn Greenwald noted. “Also, they’re well below 100k for viewers under 55.”CNN's full-scale collapse continues rapidly. Fox News’ “FOX News @ Night” with Trace Gallagher brought in over 1.5 million total viewers with 194,000 in the key demographic.CNN has struggled with ratings for years. One week in November saw the network mark its lowest-rated week since June 2001, bringing in an average of just 268,000 viewers. During the same week, Fox News averaged 1.4 million viewers. In 2022, the failure of CNN+, the network’s shot at an online streaming service, rocked the outlet. Warner Bros. Discovery, CNN’s parent company, invested roughly $300 million into launching the online platform and brought on big names such as Chris Wallace to sustain it, only for it to collapse shortly after launch.Several years before that collapse of CNN+, the outlet settled a $275 million lawsuit brought against it by Nicholas Sandmann, who was maligned by many in the media as a student of Covington Catholic High School in Kentucky when he was filmed in an incident with a Native American activist.

How about ABC News posting a cropped in picture of the Turnip at the Pope funeral and trying to manufacture outrage because he wore a blue suit to the funeral. Then when other sources showed the un-cropped image there were at least 20 other people wearing blue. This is what feeds people like the couple of TDS poster boys who post here regularly.
