Here's where I have changed my mind:

I support exceptions in the case of rape and incest or if the mother's life is in danger. It was tough for me to get there but that's where I'm at.

But if the woman wants to get an abortion after viability and her health is not at risk, she go kick rocks.
I'm also quite sure that there few, if any, Drs that will perform an abortion after 26 weeks anyway.

So, what? I'm not going to drive 120 mph but there's still a law against it. That's why we have laws.

It was just a statement. Not an attempt to offend.

You didn't offend me but your reasoning makes no sense to me. You say that not many doctors would perform an abortion after viability but that's not the way things work. We don't operate on the "trust" system. No. We put laws in place to discourage it and punish if it does happen. You're not making any sense.

Are you for the Texas law that is very repressive? It also puts the law into the hands of snitches. It's very "Nazi-ish". Pitting citizens against each other. Neighbours telling on neighbours.

Here's where I'm at. In 1973, Roe v. Wade used the existing technology/science to determine that the age of viability is around 24 weeks. I will follow the science on viability. If new technology/science has determined that viability is sooner, then we must follow the science.

PS - 1973 was a long time ago.

              You do trust science, right?

Come on Billy. You freaked out earlier today when you accused me of not answering a direct question, which by the way I had answered.
Where do you stand on the new Texas law?

I don't know where I stand on it because I don't know enough about it. At what point during the pregnancy do they want to make abortion illegal? And what's their reasoning for it?

Six weeks. In my opinion their reasoning is they are very repressive conservatives.

Look, just because you keep repeating "repressive" over and over isn't getting us anywhere.

Let's try to get somewhere. When do you believe life begins?

What else would you call a law that takes a woman's rights away? The only word I can come up with is repressive. If you have a better word please share.

The impass that you and I have is you believe a women's rights on abortion should have absoulutely no restrictions and that's not current law in the USA or any other country.

Here is what science says about a fetus at six weeks.

What does my baby look like?
Your baby, or embryo, is around 6mm long, which is about the size of a baked bean. It looks like a bit like a baked bean too, due to its curved shape. Some people think it resembles a tadpole with its little tail.

There's a bump where the heart is and another bulge where the head will be. Sometimes the heart beat can be picked up by a vaginal ultrasound scan, but you're unlikely to be offered one, unless you've had IVF. The little arms and legs are starting to form and are known as limb buds. There are tiny dents where the ears will be. The embryo is covered with a thin layer of transparent skin.

Does that sound "viable" to you?
