How do I do a logical format?

Re: Network tab missing after adding Fax and disable DHCP on Bizhub C353

Procedure (Logical Format (only when set up with HDD replacement))
      1. Call the Service Mode to the screen.
      2. Touch these keys in this order: [State Confirmation] -> [Memory / HDD Adj.] -> [HDD Format].
      3. Touch [Logical Format].
      4. Press the Start key to start the formatting sequence.
      5. The sequence will be automatically terminated as it is completed.
      6. Turn off the main power switch and turn it on again more than 10 seconds after.
      * Formatting the hard disk will erase all data contained in it.

      NOTE
      • As HDD formatting deletes Movie data, Voice data, OCR dictionary data, PDF/A font, and OCR font, and Unicode font you need
to reinstall these data as necessary after using this function.

Well, that one is for the C352 which is not the same model as your C353 so you wouldn't really want it anyway. Those solutions files are supposed to be only for qualified technicians anyway.

But this time it is telling me that access is denied even though I am running it as administrator. when I try it not running it as admin it says
                        The requested operation requires elevation.

when you initially got it working did u leave it on DHCP or set it statically? I would suggest set it static

also if you set a manual arp record of 192.168.1.222 you shouldn't need to re do it unless you got a new PC

                          do
                          Code:
                          ARP -A
if it still exists no need to re create it

I wonder if this is why the previous owners gave it away to you for free, constant network issues.
dont recall if these have a battery on the main MFP Board. maybe its flat if there is one

if the network tab is showing up why arp it?
just change it through the CP
plus you cant use .255 .254 is the last usable octet
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
                              The medication helps though...
