Hmm.....like i said this is one weird problem you got.
If the CIS is faulty, it will also affect the scan to pc.
If the Laser is faulty, it will also affect the print from pc.
And you had even replace the drum, developer & fixing assy earlier...
Oh GOD please help Mr SESHU...shine him with some lights.

Enter Service Mode
Copier>Function>CCD>CCD-ADJ, be sure to press OK in lower right corner.

CCD array collects the reflected light coming through the rod lens
array.
The machine's CCD sensor is a 1-line linear image sensor consisting of 7488 photocells. After completion of
photoelectric conversion in the light-receiving block, the signals are output to the AP circuit in the reader controller
circuit board in parallel for each channel (total eight channels) of the CCD array.

The contact image sensor (CIS) is used to control analog image processing in the following flow of work:
The light reflected by the original is collected by the rod lens array;
the light is then collected by the CCD array;
the light is converted into an electric signal by the CCD array (photo-conversion) for output.
The CCD array consists of a total of 8 channels (units). Each channel possesses its own output correction table used
to process an input intensity signal for gain correction for output of an image signal

Thanks Teckat - now I understand. Good info-shooting you some rep power for your efforts!

Seshu, Have you even tried the ccd adjust that Mrfixit proposed? He gave you that advice twice now. Give it a try.

After analyzing/considering your issue here, it is possible that the problem probably lies with the "Image Processing Module" which actually took place in the Main Controller PCB. Refer to service manual "Chapter 4.5.1 Overview of Image Flow". Observe the different of Image Data flow for Copy Function, Scan Function & Print/PDL Function. Go through it & you'll understand what I mean.....Enjoy Your Read

The process of a SCANNED Image off the Glass back to a PC = then Printed from PC to 4570 is different then that of a Copy that is Scanned of Glass and Printed directly on 4570

Carefully remove the copy glass / turn it over & clean/ turn it back over & clean - I used to place white paper all over glass> close down DF then do a CCD ADJUST
/

There is no adjustment for a Copy image issue that effects one side or area

Test prints are not the issue here/ forget about them for now/
test prints are internal prints to check on issues not related to your so called COPY off the Glass Issue

did u do the cleaning glass procedure ??
