I've got a noise coming from the CIS cleaning system. When M7 engages to clean the CIS, it's making a consistent rapid clicking sound. We have tried changing the cleaning system, but the sound persists. Has anyone else ever had anything like this happen? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Don't have a manual at hand currently, but can that motor be run in the Load check? From the vid I don't think it's the CIS cleaning motor, it is a short vid so it's hard to really see what's going on.Comment

does it do it in scan as well?
if you select a higher DPI i think the scan process slows a bit and you may be able to see something if the chatter noise slows as well.
i would also look very closely for a wayward paperclip near all belt paths, the noise is familiar but that was over 3 years ago last time i heard it in personWe know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
