If you know the BH758 it is the same but in color. Good machine, robust, with some weak points like all, especially in the area of the right door. The worst, the price of the color image units.

A good solid device, can't really go wrong with this. I assume you are getting one 2nd hand, try & get one around 500k or less if possible.

C659 has more in common with the C654 series then it does C658. They are great machines. They went back to similar imaging units that the 4 series used instead of individual drums/developer like in the 8 series. Come the 650i they, once again, went to individual drums with charge rollers that fail often.

Personally I hate these with a passion. Luckily most of mine are now c750i’s, a much better machine in my opinion.
Once the c659’s start with the duplex/exit jams problems (anywhere from 750 k prints onwards), you will be changing actuators and/or reverse and exit assemblies like crazy.
As for the image units, they’re marginally better than the drum/dev setup but still have life issues.
Just my experience of having lots of these in the field at one time but thankfully not so many now

            My opinion on the C659:
We have had very few problems with them so far mechanically, but consumables almost never make their yield. The only exception to that is the transfer belts and K Dev Units, those seem to run forever. If you have access to KM's YPP warranty program (in the US), expect to almost never be able to utilize it because the consumables generally make it to just past the 80% life so you can't claim them against the warranty. Fusers are hit and miss. They seem to go out in the 550K to 650K range, so at least those can be warrantied for partial credit under the YPP program.

My Ricoh knowledge is slowly dwindling away at this point. Many things have been lost to time...

                Brilliant 👌
