had a couple 4 series that new hdd and cables couldnt help.
had to replace the damn mfp board.
i hope his is just a FW or cable thing.
when issues are physical at least you can see the problem usually, stupid codes can be difficult to trace because we cant watch the data try and transfer.
even booting a PC you can watch all the steps of the bios and it tells you if there is a hdd problem or a software error.
copiers not so much.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
The medication helps though...👍 1Comment

I've got a School with a BH C368 that the cable and HDD replacement didn't fix (time and materials call) it was going to need the MFP Board. They were okay running without the HDD on the current board.Net+ PDI+ @Remote👍 1Comment

Could someone share with me the latest firmware for this model (it was a European machine when it was purchased, as I believe it came from England, although it is not listed as European now).
Thank youComment

Thanks again for the help, Synthohol.
I've downloaded it and I'm going to try it out to see if I know how to use it.
I'll read the manual.Comment

just double click the .exe file, pay attention where you extract it to.
once extracted open the folders until you see the FWxxxxx folder (xxxxx will be a number)
take just that FWxxxx folder and copy it to a compatible flash drive.
shut off copier, insert stick in front panel usb, hold down stop and turn it on.
you should see a black dot on the screen.
let the stop button go.
let it auto load or hit start when the fw screen comes up.
that is also a screen to check the "machine and type" later to make sure they are not set to FF usually a number and a letter is normal.
it should normally reboot on its own when finished or if it asks to shut down on the screen.
good luck.We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.

Good evening.
This afternoon I disassembled the Fiery controller board and disconnected the hard drive, and even so, after booting up, I still got the dreaded FA-14 defect.
Do you think everything points to it being the eMMC, as you said? The main board has already been replaced (they re-installed the firmware when they started it up, so this is a different version). The eMMC and EPROMs are the same as the old board, transferred to the new one just like the Fiery card, and now it's disassembled (removed from the board) just like the hard drive... and it's still coming out.
Tomorrow I'd like to try and install the firmware and test it before deciding to replace the eMMC.
You don't have to enable anything in the configuration to see the firmware on the USB, right? (doing the procedure you mentioned Synthohol is fine, right?)You do not have permission to view this gallery.

Good afternoon.
This afternoon I had some time and tried to flash the firmware, but without success, since I couldn't get the firmware menu to appear. I unzipped the file A79J0Y0-F000-G00-W5.exe, inside which there were two folders and a file, and as Synthohol indicated, I copied one of the folders (FW005) to the RAID of the USB formatted to FAT32.
Then, I shut down the machine, connected the USB to the control panel and, holding down the STOP button, turned it on. The small circle appeared in the upper left corner. I released the button until it started, but the firmware menu didn't appear as indicated (and I read it that way in the manual...).
It's as if it doesn't see the USB with the firmware.
A few weeks ago, when I disconnected the hard drive for testing, when I booted up with the USB inserted, it picked up this external device for my personal folders, but this afternoon it didn't appear, and maybe it's disabled somewhere.
I'll look in the manual.Comment

it can take up to 7 minutes to start in my experience
also what is the RAID of the USB, you mean the root?
try a small flash like 4 gig.We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.

Hi Synthohol.
I mean, it boots normally (after a couple of minutes of booting and getting to the main menu, I even got the FA-14 error screen that pops up every time).
Sorry, it was a typo when I wrote it, yes, I'm referring to root. What I'm not sure about is, should I copy the entire contents of the FW005 folder with its structure (the folder and the files inside, which is how I did it, or should I put all the files contained in that folder in root?
The USB I used yesterday was a small 4GB one I had at home.Comment
