    Good afternoon.
Thank you very much for the help you're giving me.

I got the manual a month and a half ago, and I also made a great effort to translate it into Spanish, since I didn't fully understand some words (it's a veritable encyclopedia with more than 2,325 pages...which allows me to do many things and navigate through the hundreds of menus, as Duplicator said).
I don't know if I can share it on the forum (I'd be happy to if it helps anyone who needs it). The only drawback is that the translation has increased its size and weighs almost 200MB.

In response to Markks (whom I also thank for his help), I did move the two EEPROMs from the old board to the new one, as well as the rest of the boards included (such as the EMMC, the Fiery card, and the DSIPB, which I think is what it's called...). The startup is what I had to call back the technician who only wanted to sell me a new machine, even though I knew he was going to charge me an outrageous amount to install the firmware, since I had changed the motherboard myself, but without turning on the machine since I knew there was a procedure but couldn't do it because I didn't have the firmware.

Can you tell me if it's possible to get the firmware and what I would have to do (to change the eMMC as Synthohol and elmaligno indicated (whom I also thank here for their help)?

    Thanks

This forum is intended for seasoned professionals to assist each other. When I ask a question, I have earned the right by bringing to the table my professional experience to help others. You lack the experience to help anyone. If somebody helps you, then you will have to be taught some complicated procedures. You have not even contributed by donating to the site. You are a leech.

i think that was pretty personal and unwarranted.

          Thanks, Synthohol.
I don't mean to stir up trouble or create problems.

I just need help solving a serious problem for me: they refuse to repair a machine and force me to buy a new one, even though I know it can be repaired.
I refuse to let it be a big paperweight.

And this seems to me to be a great forum where I think I could find the right help, but I don't want to cause any kind of discomfort.

Just make a small donation to this website, then you will have contributor badge under your name. This will get you firmware, etc. It's not necessary but will help.

having successfully soliciting close to a hundred donations to this site in "exchange" for docs or fw i agree with where you are coming from.
he did indeed ask how to obtain firmware at the end and i must have missed it before i responded to your post and im man enough to offer an apology for being so passive aggressive with my reply.

                        Hello Albonline.
The original machine had the same problem as with the replaced motherboard. I decided to replace it, as the local technical service told me that the problem I was experiencing (C-FA14) could be due to a problem with the hard drive or the main board.

The machine is one of the 4 that my daughter has, which she acquired through a transfer with the business (a Xerox multifunction, an OKI, a DTF and this Konica Bizhub C658 which although it is the most modern is the one that broke down, after a power failure with several power cuts in a row, when it was on. The technical service guy did not want to fix it, and told her that it was a few years old and that she should buy another machine ....
My daughter, who is very young, but not stupid, did not let it come back, since she had only one intention and it was not to repair it. Before that, she formatted the hard drive (logical and physical) and it was fault-free for a few days but it started to fail more and more, until it was impossible to use it.
That's when I started trying to repair it, since we could not throw the machine away. I got the manual, translated it and bought a new 320Gb hard drive and tried, with the same result.
I then managed a brand new motherboard and I decided to change it (according to the information I had at the time from what the technician said).
I changed it following the steps in the manual, but I didn't turn it on because it didn't have the necessary firmware to start and configure it. I had to call technical support, who charged me for the firmware installation and startup, and again told me to buy another one that couldn't be fixed... and I'm still trying to fix it, and that's when I found out about this forum and that's why I asked for help, since I know nothing about these machines, but I've been a roboticist for 30 years and everything can be repaired. The technician's response saying it can't be fixed isn't valid for me (if what they want is to sell another machine, of course it can't be fixed...). I didn't save the configuration since I didn't have the manual at the time, but I took photos of each of the menu screens to gather the information.
And yes, I do have the old plate that I replaced.

As a show of good will, My course of action would be to restore the previous configuration and remove the Hard Drive including the cables, then set the HDD to unset. Your only message should be No Animation Data , otherwise if it works fine it is either the HDD or the data cable for the HDD.
