BIZHUB C300i FREEZES AT BOOTING UP (25%)

    Hello everyone,

I have encountered the above problem on bizhub C300i and i have triend the following:
    1. Self diagnosis (switching on the main power switch while holding the sub power switch - not responding neither beep nor purple light on display.
    2. Reseated all connectors and tried powering up - no response
    3. Tried disconnecting the options (in my case i have only DF and tried to boot with AA2J0Y0-F000-G00-N4 firmware with a 2GB USB stick and powering up while holding a rear STOP key the dot on the upper left corner of display appear but the printer get stuck at that 25%., the USB stick im using works fine on all other models.
    4. Reset tool a789be also wont respond.

Currently i only have G00- N4,G00- N5 and G00-P8 which all failed to load....upon a bit of research i found some recommendation that G00 - B5 IS known to have solved freezing problems and my problem is i do not have that firmware, in case any of you good souls happen to have it i would like to give it a shot before i start meddling with boards replacements.

Any newer input on how to tackle this is also welcomed.

    Best regards

    Ahmed Chamumi.

did you try the gxx diag firmware before jumping to the fuckall.tar file?
    probably the cpu or ssd.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

      Replace storage board.

Remove the storage board & fit a micro SD card, if the device comes to ready replace the storge board, if not replace the CPU board.

Or we can supply the CPU updated firmware if you want to try that.

Lol...CPU updated firmware, is this kind of your own proprietary firmware or just fancy name for original KM firmware?

There is an officially released firmware that just updates the CPU board and the BootROM. It's supposed to resolve the CPU overheating issue, but there is a significant difference in firmware version number on the CPU boards we've updated, so I'd have to bet there are a number of other undocumented fixes as well.

My Ricoh knowledge is slowly dwindling away at this point. Many things have been lost to time...

I would put on the GG3-RE before this before updating to the GXX-42

                    Hello every one,

Been on a fairly long trip and just got back yesterday, i got the chance to revisit the printer since it was brought to our workshop, i tried to play around with some option and what i have observed is that, when i removed the SSD the printer recognized the firmware in the USB stick and proceeded with rewriting procedure that end with MFP N.G. of course since the SSD is not there, i have opted to replace the SSD, but still i will get a SSD adapter and try to format the SSD...not sure of the outcome though but i will just give it a shot.

By the way does any of you guys happen to have a GG3-RE and GXX-42 please?

If you had fitted a micro SD card with the storage board removed the device would have come to ready.

Will try that on the next session at the workshop since it takes forever for the ordering process, thanks for the heads up.
