C203 Will not copy

That machine has long been obsolete. Don't get me wrong I liked the C203 series and still service a few die hard customers who love them. Seriously sounds like one of the consumables are overlife, or a setting that limits copy operation, etc

I agree, very old machine. However, I've had a few where the consumables were over-life (and even though you have the consumable life extended to the max with the F/W), and they neither copied NOR printed. So, if the machine is printing, I don't think its a consumable end-of-life issue.Comment

I was thinking same thing but anytime something is isolated or disabled there is always a message on top of display showing "xxxxx currently cannot be used..."Comment

Author describing is paradox. Without full picture we can't help.
The only slight possibility is that colour IU is over life and he can print in black but not copy in colour.A tree is known by its fruit, a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost, he who sows courtesy, reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.
Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.👍 2Comment

so it does copy, given bad info. it makes very light copies. the last time (few months ag) it did so, we manually added black toner. work for a while not it is back to light copies. i recall the developer showed some low "reading"..is the sensor in the developer going out?

Have you done any cleaning? How old are the consumables? Sorry, we have no way of knowing these things. You have to tell us.If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
