    KM C360i C6756 error

    Have a customer with 5x C360i machines at one site. I have found 3 of them have recorded C6756 errors (CCD power-supply voltage malfunction).
    The customer has not mentioned them, so I assume they don't show. The copiers worked okay for me.
    Is this something I need to look into? Or is it something I can ignore?

      I had one of my techs tell me that was a sign of CPU overheating and you should run the CPU cooling firmware. Not sure if there is much truth in that. At minimum make sure your customer knows how to do a trouble reset

              If you install the latest base firmware does it include special firmware or fixes like the CPU overheating, etc? Or if you install a special FW does it include all the prior special FW's?
              Been trying to get an answer to these questions for many years and can never get a straight answer?? Even DSM's can't answer it!

                  supposedly the CPU 1 and CPU 2 firmware that are updated using the same procedure as the Boot Rom firmware have some fixes for over heating and for the machines losing time as well as some other things.
                  we've been updating them (CPU 1, 2 and boot rom) but the CPUs are still failing on machines that have had these updates applied. I think its a bad batch of components that were assembled into the CPUs during the COVID years. the newer XX1i range of machines seem to have this fault sorted but time will tell...

                      You still have to update SW 187 to ensure the CPU fan runs in low power mode, even with the latest FW and CPU updates. By default this is off and if you do not update this after updating the FW the CPUs will cook themselves when the machine goes into low power.

                      By Deafult the fan is set to NOT spin in low power mode (SW 159 - 0). There was a previous bulletin that asked you to set this to Bit 7 to spin the fan in low power, but this ran at 100% and was so noisy. With the lastest GC2 RF you can set 159 back to 0 (FAN OFF) THEN set 187 to hex 40 to spin it at half speed. Full details are in the FW bulletin:
