    C750i Poor Print quality

    Hi everyone,

Got a frustrated customer with a C750i, who is not happy with the print quality.
The customer is printing on 200gsm stock to produce booklets.
In the other room they have a c458 which they much prefer.
Recently they have had all drums fitted and transfer belt.
Counter for colour is around 500k, black 100k.
Nothing Settings wise under service mode has been modified other than software switch 153 set to 40.
    Firmware is on GC2-RF.
Using latest PCL universal driver (have tried PS)
Tried printing file directly from USB with same result.
Grads look OK, maybe on the blotchy side (especially black.).
    Density calibration has been done.
    Genuine tone used.

I have attached photos of samples from both machines.
The darker and spotty/grainy image is from the c750i.

Is this what you'd expect in terms of quality for this machine? Or am I missing something?

Weight settings correct for media? If so tweak 2nd transfer values? Just a thought. How does it look on plain paper? (mentioned blotchy gradations, 2nd transfer again)
