Hey guys, I appreciate any help. I have a customer with a C3350i who swears that their adf would auto detect the length of the paper. Specifically 8 1/2x11 and 8 1/2x14. I dug through setting and updated to latest firmware and I do not see any options or settings. I looked through the manual and didnt see anything either. I don't know if maybe its a software or hardware switch Or if im just blind. I want to check every avenue before I tell the customer that the option doesnt exist. Thank you in advance.

As far as I am aware those document feeders don't have aps that way, I think you can set it to mixed size originals to read each ones length but otherwise it defaults to Letter short edge. Others may want to chime in to confirm.

If you click on "Application" and then go to the "No. Original Settings" section, can you set it to Auto as the Original Size?
It looks like you have the Original Size fixed from those images.

what happens if you select mixed originals?
does it copy all 14" off the glass without selecting legal??We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.

Those machines will not auto detect paper . You have to press original settings the original size to tell the machine the size of the original.Comment

If you change the default to mixed original then it should auto detect 8.5x11 and 8,5x14 from adf. Im looking at one now there is no size detect for on the glassComment

The mixed originals worked for the feeder but made it so that I could no longer use the flat glass. I made a button on the copy screen to disable mixed originals for when they use the flatglass. Thank y'all so muchComment
