In my case I don't have ssd installed on the printer, how do I determine the other faulty components if the screen boot up at 50 % and can't load the normal screen? In the service manual it suggests we replace the cpub and strgb.

      1. The device won't boot without an SSD or SD card that hasn't been partitioned.
      2. You can create/repair partitions by flashing the firmware to the new SSD/SD card.
      3. Without the SSD/SD card installed, you can check if the firmware update window starts and, if necessary, flash (update) the Boot ROM on CPU-B to support the SSD.

Please describe what happens when you try to flash the firmware without an SSD or SD card installed.

Thank you that you said, I will give you the details
At first the printer has freezing issues, I went update the firmware, download completed but when it reboot it stalled at 50 percent and stays there for ever, I checked and confirmed it has no ssd installed, I think it has SD card installed instead.

Did you tried with another SD card?

Just to be sure, I will ask if you understand that the device must have an SSD or SD for proper operation? The SD card is not an additional option and has no function other than to boot the device correctly, the use of the SD card only restricts the use of the box and licence.
If you remove the SSD and install a correctly formatted SD card and upload the Firmware then you will determine what is causing the device to stay at 50% of post. Try this solution and we will know what you are struggling with

            Sorry,
Now I understand the situation more precisely. Assuming that the device was previously working on an SD card and started to hang then a test on a new different SD card will confirm/indicate what is the cause of the device not booting.

anytime you put in a cpub you will need to make sure the machine and type is correct. this can be found in the service manual under the replacement of the cpub. But if you do replace the cpub and storage board at the same time you will lose all meters plus the consumable counts and the machine will have to be setup from scratch. Its very rare to have to replace both at the same time but sometimes you have to .

After you replace the cpub set machine and type turn off . then boot back in to firmware, update boot rom, turn off. Boot in to firmware update firmware to the latest.

Thanks mate this is the exact details I needed, now I'll go straight to replace the cpub with steps given, I have a km 450i with the same issue, so I'll start off with one first and give you the feedback later.
Thank you again Markks for the details.
