Client states that the 3 hole pinch just quit working. Went there and sure enough it only 2 hole punches no matter what you choose. Service mode still shows 2/3 hole installed and no codes or jams. Hole punches 2 in the middle of the page on letter no matter what. Looks like the gear is rotating in test mode just fine to switch between 2 or 3 so no idea what’s up. Any ideas?

Correct. When we choose 3 hole it only does 2 hole no matter what. In service mode I have even switched to 2/4 and decision then reboot and set back to 2/3 with decision and same result.Comment

That is a strange one...
I'm assuming you have the bigger FS535, not the FS534? Might want to back up settings and initialize the machine.Comment

Iokk, went back and tore apart and
cleaned it all and reseated all connectors and now it only does a 4 hole punch! Sheesh!!! What’s the deal?!?

So did you initialize the machine as suggested?
If you have the bigger FS535 the punch kit has it's own board. If smaller finisher I would look at finisher main board.
Maybe update the firmware?
I found the following on kon-min knowledge base. It's for a different finisher but might point you in the right direction with softswitches:

FS-532, with PI & PK installed, Off-line Punch will not punch 3-holes (only 2-holes).
CAUSE: Dipswitch setting 21-6 and 202-1 is set to 0.
SOLUTION: Set dipswitch 21-6 and 202-1 to 1.

100% sure. Did it multiple times. Must be something mechanically wrong as now after tearing into it again it does 3 holes only and they are close to each other not like they should be and can’t get an adjustment to change anything in service modeComment
