    C250i Jam Code 99-14

    Hello!
Anyone seen jam code 99-14 on a C250i? Can't find it in the SM... It appears during initialization / image stabilization. The case started with low density in black, and soon escalated into this scenario. Toner density values seem normal. There was also a couple of C45-01, but with no information on the controller jam code I don't know if it is related...

    Re: C250i Jam Code 99-14

the latest version of the manual (version 2.2) has it listed as 'Controller JAM (image stabilization timeout)'
I've added the relevant sections of the manual below.

We just had this code pop up. We're you able to resolve it?

Pull the laser unit from the machine and clean the polygon mirror. You will find half of the surface is clouded. Then run gradation.
I have one machine that needs this about every 6 months.
This is the fix for your issue.

I had brand new C300i causing same issues, changed laser unit under warranty.

Update: It's def the laser unit. Confirmed by KM. Good call by black cloud, copyman, and apollo. Thanks to all for your advice! It is covered under warranty. We are going to inspect the polygon unit during replacement.
