Thanks for that feedback. It was going to be my next question, on whether I should remove the board or not.

There is no message giving a hint battery is near EOL. - Users get aware, that battery is empty, when machine is powered off for any reason (and powered on again).

The way you test that battery is to connect a volt-ohm meter to the battery and read the voltage starting with power ON. The battery is 3vdc, but is maintained by the 5vdc logic voltage. It will read 5.0vdc with power ON. The moment the power is shut OFF the battery should drift down to 3.0vdc. At 2.85vdc, there isn't much time left before you'll lose settings. Somewhere between 2.6 & 2.7 vdc settings will be lost.

To save yourself trouble of trying to restore lost settings, remove the PWB and measure the voltage. If it's getting low, solder another battery alongside parallel, so there is always voltage. Then you can de-solder of clip off the old battery. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

By the way, in the users guide konica specifies the to-be-used temperature ranges:

The battery # is CR2477 lithium cell 3V. It's thicker then the CR2032. Almost looks like it's 2 batts together but it's not.

Not sure if OP mentioned how long machine is going to be stored. There are a lot of factors to be considered depending on how long in storage.

I'd say if you cant have the machine operating outside of these temperature ranges, you should also not store them.

A Ricoh Service Tech for 7 year. A Konica Minolta Service Tech for 7 years. Now, KM service manager for 4 years.
My Ricoh knowledge is slowly dwindling away at this point. Many things have been lost to time...

It is not the static voltage of lithium ion batteries that is adversely affected by low temperatures. It is the length of time that they can support a load.

This is why so many electric vehicles got stranded during cold weather.

also the chemicals inside can "clog up" and change their stance/state (? Is that the correct word?) which can destroy the battery entirely and also all components powered by it possibly.

Well folks, I have good news! I know this thread is old, but I'm happy to report back that the printer sat in storage through two winters, one being quite cold (roughly 0°F for a while). Last week, I fired it up and connected it to my network with absolutely no issues! Thanks for your help and feedback!
