[Error Code] C658 Error 30-3

Good Evening Gents,

I have 2 Konica C658 with the same error 30-3. It seems the paper get stuck causing the jam.

We've cleaned all the trays with no luck.

I've searched in youtube and there is a video about cleaning a sensor but the Konica showed in the video is slightly different from ours and I was unable to locate this sensor for cleaning.

I've attached a pic to show where the paper get stuck.

At the moment both printers cannot even print 1 sheet.

Clean or replace the registration roller bushings. That black roller above where paper stops should move freely.

I agree with copyman - had a few of those fail, if you replace the bushings, replace the rubber and metal rollers - when they're bad, they're a nightmare to remove the old bushings

Had a 558e with a near seized driven roller. I just clean the bushing in that case. If the roller runs freely go to sensor check and see if the senor output changes state when actuated. If not the sensor or sensor supply is faulty. The actuator can get stuck but will show a PE(permanent error) if that is the case. Last trace the connector for the clutch and shutter back the the front side board and check if 24V is there.

It will always be 24V on the clutch wire until the MOSFET or MCU pulls the current thru to ground to activate the clutch. If no 24V then fuse 2FE on MFPB is blown out. Long shot but look at this thread.

Try to cheat side door sensor and start copy from first tray and help the sheet to make it somehow to registration rollers.
If clutch is not working at all go Allan's way, if it's trying but rollers are binding do what other guys suggested.

That is a good way to check. Remember to engage the fuser as well or you will get C3102.

Actually we managed to clean the black roller as suggested in the first place and the machine started to print correctly, it was stuck.
