    Kyocera 4501i Dumping Toner

I have at least 10 machines that dump toner all over the registration roller. Have just as many that run fine.
All of these machines have had new dv units replaced anywhere from 30k to 120k before they start doing it.
I have tried complete pm kits on 4 of them but it didnt help.
Also updated all firmware and OEM toner only.
We clean and pages come dirty again after 10k

Anyone else see or have this issue.

Have not vac out the dev chute and toner disposal filters at the rear.
I will give that a try.

It's not a cure, but definitely prolongs the interval. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I don't about y'all IF I get a call about PQ/CQ after getting the problem(s) explained to me ..and I get my test sheets out.

I strip the machine of Toner/Dev/PCU/PCDU/Fuser and any 'tray' type parts Duplex etc.

Then I vac the HELL outta the machine... then gently BLOW the paper path that can't be vac'd

Inspect each part going back in for wear/build up/nicks/dings make note

            and repeat.

yeah... sounds a little anal BUT.. how many time have you skipped those step and had to tear it all out again, just to replace a failed dev unit?

Once you remove the registration assembly and vacuum it out and the copier frame, and the duct at the rear of the machine. You should replace all the duct seals that can be found in the parts book Fig 13 this will reduce the amount of toner dust.

Even the new models still suffer from this just check it if you open the door and notice the transfer roller section looks covered in toner. I think it's just the speed of the machine that does it. Shame all the filters are on the back of the machine. I have noticed the new ones have a vibrating plate in the filter which I've never seen before but I guess it's to keep the filter from clogging up as much.
