    7052ci with a c-6770

This started out as a jamming call in the fuser. We ordered a new fuser and it would grind and jam, se we ordered another one. We had a loaner fuser that would work but every new fuser would grind and jam, we tried 3 new ones. Then it started throwing a c-6600 from time to time with the grinding so we swapped a used IH unit in it and that didn't help anything so we ordered a new one that didn't help. Now we are stuck on a 6770, we have replaced everything except the LVU and the IH PWB which leads me into the questions I have.

What in the hell is a LVU? I only see it mentioned in the list of things that could be bad and nowhere, not where it is located or how to get it out. Also, one of the first things it says could be the problem is the input power is improper and to change it but it doesn't say how to change. Where do you do that at? Also has anyone had any issues like this and been able to repair it successfully? This machine just refuses to work.

Input power is the power outlet that the copier is plugged into. If you have low voltage , the IH unit will take too long heating the fuser and code out. Check the wall voltage with a multi-meter and if you have one put a power monitor between the wall outlet and the copier to monitor any power issues. I would do this and put it back to the original parts to troubleshoot.

So they are talking about the low voltage power supply?

Thanks, not sure why they are calling it the LVU or low voltage unit in part of the manual and the low voltage power supply in others. We'll take that out tomorrow and go from there. Thanks.

You can also get unaccountable fuser errors if there are issues with the AC power at the wall.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Yes, the tech is taking a line conditioner with him with the power supply and IH PWB to make sure the power is good.

I just don't understand what is going on with this machine, we replaced the fuser, IH unit, fuser drive section, power supply feed pwb, engine board and IH pwb. We finally got it to stop throwing 6770s and ran 1 status page. Turned it off to put it all back together and now it keeps throwing 6950 codes. I am really beginning to dislike these machines.

We got the codes to go away but now the prints are light on one half only. It's never ending with this thing.
