Hi guys. I have 2 3554ci at different locations having the same blank screen issue. I had this problem before at different customers and the Main PWB or Control Panel usually solves it. However it's not working in these 2 machines.. When the machine is powered on the motors are running but no activity on the screen. New Main PWB and screen were installed. Any suggestions pls.

Maybe pull the fuser and fire it up to see if it will code out. -

At this point I would think it has to be cabling. It does seem when the 4 series first came out we were getting HDD errors and that turned out to be faulty SATA cables. I think the control panel has a SATA cable going to it. Maybe the same faulty batch? Long shot.

Replace SSD and have firmware on thumb drive inserted on first power-up (important, only this way will cause SSD format to start).
First boot – Watch for SSD format and Main firmware to load– Power off device
Second boot – watch for full firmware to load.

after power up and 5V operation panel power supply from main pwb present, the screen start it`s own "selftest".
Same as engine pwb with motor turning and main with internal boot up routine.
Power up >> 5V power supply for panel present >> "Welcome" message >> Kyocera or no/ other Brand logo >> communication with main pwb successfull >>"Programm Loading" message >> normal screen
FYI: "Welcome" message is internal own operation panel component and independed to SSD panel firmware, part of internal operation panel BIOS.
At first white screen and "Welcome" visible, after communication with main pwb/ ssd complete, screen must change to Logo and message "programm loading", finally to normal screen.
You wrote "No activity on the screen" >> black blank screen or white blank screen?
Black blank screen >> no 5V power supply for operation panel present >> no light/ no own boot up >> no message on the screen
White blank screen >> faulty internal boot up from operation panel
What happens with the operation panel led in lower right corner, red, blue, green, or flashing?
Check related connectors all the way in.
Main pwb YC14 << >> operation panel YC9
SATA cable connectors on both pwbs/ change SATA cable.Comment

black screen. no lights on operation panel led. tried a working pwb from another machine same issue. however when the working pwb was re installed back into the machine that it came from same issue, black screen. i did notice that when the network cable was plugged into the previously working machine there was activity lights.Comment
