[Misc] TA 4002i has a continuously running exit unit until it goes into sleep mode

I had a customer just call about their TA 4002i's exit rollers running until the machine goes into sleep mode. Anyone have this issue? Since it's the end of my day I thought I would throw this out and check back in tomorrow before I have to call the dreaded Tech Support.

    Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the info, will give it a try. I also changed the sleep and low power timers, they were set way to high.

Part of my set up for new and used machines is to set U346/ "Fuser Power Mode " to "OFF".

I found out about setting U346 Fuser Power Mode on this forum about maybe 18 months ago and have implemented that change in all my xxx2s and xxx3s.

To this date, I have a LOT fewer fuser failures than before.

I also do it to the xxx4 series machines I get.

That's good enough for me. Now it'll be part of my routine. Thanks.

I've also started disabling IPV6 on all machines, since it's caused some Issues. I also turn all U287 to on.
            Hope that helps !

Yes Kyocera recommends disabling IPV6 also.

So what's the difference between "Fuser Power" and just plain "Silent Mode"? I've been using Silent Mode with good results, I never thought to look at Fuser Power.

We've tried silent mode, but it slows the machine down so much that customers complain. I believe it controls fans and other things also.
Fuser power just keeps the fuser from continually running.
                  Hope that helps !

I understand turning off IPV6, I have been doing that from the time it has showed up on the machines.

What is the advantage of turning on all U287?

All the C & CF codes, with the excpetion of the fuser related C6xxx codes, will try to reset themselves.

                        Hello,
just for info, I found the BT of the TA 4056i which corresponds to the 4002i at Kyo.
For noises at the ejection, I had often a few years ago

Just put it in silent mode under maintenance and adjustments in system settings.

Thanks for posting but about half this thread is a discussion of Silent Mode. The first suggestion included Silent Mode.
