Hi All, long time tech/first time posting. Got a Kyocera M6630 color mfp with color streaks. Machine has 104k total and 82k color prints. Black drum was replaced in March for drum surface issues and is still good today. Couple weeks ago serviced it for color streaks on the right side. Could see the wear marks on three color drums matching the streaks, transfer unit was worn/dumping toner all over also. Three drums and transfer unit were replaced, all set up fine and worked good for a week but now the same issue has returned. I wouldn't think developer housings would cause this, have reached out to our Kyocera rep. for suggestions. This forum is way better source for good info so thought I'd give this a shot. Picture of sample is attached. TIA for any tips......REgarner color streaks.jpg

Measuring the defect and checking it in the service manual against the repetitive defects guide should give you the answer. -

Re: M6630cidn with color streaks
Returned today to check some other items- BTW I'm the only tech in our company in this territory. It's looking like one of 2 things so far. Either the client was referring to an old print from before and assumed it was still happening ( seen this a few times over the last 39 years ) or might have had something to do with a paper clip I found behind the mylar that runs along the bottom of the silver transport roller ( reg. roller? ) , on the same side as the defect, causing some weird electrical noise or interference? All belt samples and test prints looked fine so I'll monitor for a while and see. Thanks for the reply.Comment
