I've just fitted maintenance kit A on a Kyocera FSC8100, but don't know how to clear the MK message on the control panel, can somebody please help!

Send the command from a DOS prompt through the LPT or re-route the LPT port through to the network port.
Reset Fuser
ECHO !R! LFRE "FUSR", 0; EXIT; >LPT1 -
assuming it has the up to date firmware so in maintainance you can go in and reset the 2nd transfere roller count as well. if all units are replaced, ie k dev 4x pcu's, itb unit and fuser, them counts will be reset. 2nd transfere need to be done in service mode after firmware upgrade and service file loaded onto a cf card to unlock maintenance modeComment

Thanks for the replies, once i'd fitted the maitenance kit & checked the counts in the service mode which were all zero the mk message didn't go, but updating the firmware did remove the message.Comment

Is there a way to reverse the ECHO !R! LFRE....... to get the printer to output data back to the PC ? Just curious to know if there is a set of escape codes I can program in to make things easier. I can knock up a small app to read the data file for saving analysing ect....
