    Need Help Cleaning FP-7722

I have a Panasonic FP-7722 and each time I print I get almost like a black smear on the bottom of every document. If anyone knows the main cause of this Please let me know or which part i need to clean to resolve this issue. Also what cleaning supplies I will need to do the job would also be very helpful.thanks in advance

If its a solid line check the drum and fuser rollers. If the drum doesn't look like there is wear on it look at the fuser. If you can see a groove in the fuser heat roller or any tearing in the pressure roller replace them. As far as cleaning goes on these machines, rubbing alcohol and a rag. Dont put the alcohol on the drum tho.

If the line isn't solid and appears interminently on the pages then clean the charge corona. Hope this helps.

Clean your drum and DCB Assym. If it goes away and comes back then replace the drum and dcb.

Are you sure you hooked in the charge corona properly? If that wire assym isn't plugged in properly it will effect your picture quality.

Make a dark copy and adjust the exposure blinds to make the grey background uniform. Plus try cleaning the charge grid with alcohol.

I just had a machine do this problem to me last week. Ordered a drum, dcb, and corona unit. Installed them and it went away. With old machines like this you can never tell if the part itself is bad so just replacing them is best off.

Start with a basic service 1st

optics ( dont 4get the 1's under the lens cover - 4 skrews)
remove glass dust shield (located above the drum behind main front cover)

try adusting the metal plates which r located above the scan lamp
make sure the morros are aligned correctly and not skewed

                    check F5-25 change to 0

                    adjust f6-11 exposure adustment
                    f6- 19 bias adjustment

if the dirty mark/line is lead edge try the following

r u finding toner on the transfer? if so check catch blade below drum blade
remove the dev unit - place dev unit over a sheet of paper and rotate dev roller by hand, check for deposits of toner on the paper, replace dev if it does
