Re: 03 Models SP Mode access changed from default
No sir, it actually does not. Some SP modes are not available in Factory SP that do appear in regular SP or Special SP. Conversely, there are SP modes only available in Factory SP mode. There is not a mode that gives access to all, so far as I'm aware. There are even settings that have to be made via telnet as there is no SP at all.Comment

Re: 03 Models SP Mode access changed from default
Well, for one, SP5-081 which sets the SP access code for normal SP useage, and closely related to the subject of this thread. There are others but I have only bumped into those by happenstance, so I can't provide you a comprehensive list.
In any event, in my humble opinion, no one should be encouraged to use Factory SP unless access to a particular function is required.Comment

I have a few in public spaces & IT insist on locking down everything & changing all passwords etc understandably especially if they are charging for users or the public for prints/copies.Let us eat, drink, and be merry, because tomorrow we may die!

Re: 03 Models SP Mode access changed from default
I does seem like it's always the same, not from you, but just everyone posting and asking for service mode access and firmware. There is a reason that information is kept as quiet as possible. An untrained person could quickly ruin their machine by pressing the wrong buttons in service mode. Ricoh does not even put the service mode access codes in the service manual.
Please don't take it personnel, this is just not the place to get that type of information.Comment
