It sorta sounds like a font substitution, yes? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Talking about tests, tried to print some text from the Linux machine, they don't look that bad "live". Pictures seem to be a lttle ugy at 43% of zoom (cannot upload original files)

Well, I'll stop uploading pictures than and go back to fixing the scan to CIFS share then. That's another pending poing (even with latest firmware & proper protocol support it seems to be broken), last time I checked it was DNS related (even though properly configured, the printer doesn't seem to use DNS to reach the share).

The print that derived to my post was sent from an Android phone with a driver that made all letters color based (Samsung printing app).

              Then I tested:
              - Ricoh Smart Device App: It correctly printed blacks as blacks, and colored as colored (no color mixing to get black)
              - Linux laptop with Ricoh PDF driver: same, blacks were blacks, and color, color.

To the left original Android print (color), to the right Linux print (all black)

I have been seeing this a lot lately, it's always been the customer using the wrong print driver.

Doing a test from the Samsung printing app for Android. Seems to be client/driver specific

There's only one Ricoh partner locally, and they only service machines they've sold (it's no the case). I was referred to other freelancer technicians in the past with bad results in general.

Hope it's only that, as I mentioned, printing with other clients worked fine (Linux+Ricoh PDF driver & Android with Ricoh Smart Device app)
