mp 3351 changing developer in pcu unit

Hi I replaced new developer in mp 3351 copier pcu unit using ricoh developer 28. When testing the printout I found a lots of small dots on the background of the print copies.
Deleoper 28 is for that model of pcu. Is there any setting I need to do to removed the small dark dots on the background of the printed copies.

What is the PM count for the PCU? Those look to me like drum spots. They start to appear when the drum is 15K or more beyond recommended replacement count. Replace drum, cleaning blade. charge roller and charge cleaning roller. Anything else will only make the spots worse.

      Ciao
Hai cambiato solo sviluppatore o Pcu, blade ecc ecc. Hai eseguito l'inizializzazione?

The developer is new, drum and cleaning blade also new. I try developer mixing and initialising developer in sp mode still the same.

I have seen that when two types of developers are mixed, it comes out like this, or the cylinder and charge are very pitted.

I think the problem is with the developer, previously I have replaced pcu developer before without any issues. This is the first time I encounter this problem. Thanks for all the advise given. Really appreciate for the feedback.

Hello, those points are the contaminated developer, if it were the cylinder you would have a pattern of points that are repeated two or thirteen is in the copy, replace the developer again (it can be type 24 or 21, keeping 345 gr of weight) and then make SP 2801, remember to completely empty the unit of development and vacuum everything

it can be developer contaminated, or the toner is causing the issue.

It's called "rain effect" you have to replace the transfer roller, unfortunately no longer available here in Italy, you have to find a used but good one from another similar machine

                      Hello Friend

Looks like contamination in the developer. Source of the contamination was 1) toner 2) old toner being recycled into the development unit 3) problem with the developer

Quick fix with best results. This should have a 90% success rate.
Service the machine. Take a PCDU unit completely strip it, clean everything out (and I do mean everything) and reassemble with new drum, dev blade. It is recommended to do the developer gears at the same time.

Strip and clean your transfer and separation.

Strip and clean your fuser unit.

Strip and clean your toner hopper unit. Install brand new toner

All of those steps can be done in the workshop so all you have to do is install at the client. It shouldn't take you more than 30 minutes at the client to install everything.

                      All the best friend
